One tarot reading. One dangerously handsome warrior. And one ordinary woman who accidentally becomes the key to saving an entire magical kingdom.

Hannah has always been the kind of woman who follows the rules.

At twenty-three, she's perfectly comfortable living in a world where things make sense.

Where magic belongs in fantasy novels.

Where tarot cards are supposed to offer guidance—not transport you into another dimension.

Until one tarot reading changes absolutely everything.

Suddenly, Hannah finds herself trapped in a mysterious realm where magick is real, danger hides around every corner, and the men look suspiciously like they've walked straight out of her favorite romantasy novels.

And unfortunately for Hannah's sanity, one particular man is impossible to ignore.

Meet Kane.

Brooding.

Battle-scarred.

Infuriatingly gorgeous.

And apparently the kingdom's most intimidating protector.

He's exactly the kind of man Hannah should avoid.

Which becomes rather difficult when he insists that her arrival in his world wasn't an accident.

According to Kane, Hannah isn't just some unfortunate traveler who stumbled into the wrong magical dimension.

She's the key to saving his kingdom from destruction.

There's just one tiny problem.

Hannah never signed up to be anyone's chosen heroine.

She has a very simple plan.

First: Get her tarot card back.

Second: Find a way to return home.

Third: Absolutely, under no circumstances, fall for the ridiculously attractive warrior who's making it increasingly difficult to think straight.

Simple enough.

Except nothing in Towerfall is ever that easy.

As Hannah navigates a world filled with mysterious magick, royal secrets, and dangerous enemies, she discovers that her arrival may be connected to something far greater than she ever imagined.

And the more time she spends with Kane, the harder it becomes to ignore the attraction simmering between them.

He's gruff, guarded, and determined to protect his realm. She's stubborn, curious, and absolutely unwilling to let anyone dictate her future.

Naturally, sparks fly.

But as the kingdom's secrets begin to unravel and powerful enemies close in, Hannah realizes that finding her way home may require more than simply recovering a magical tarot card.

She'll have to embrace the extraordinary power awakening inside her.

Trust her instincts.

And possibly trust the one man who's managed to turn her carefully organized world upside down.

Because Kane might be the greatest temptation she's ever faced.

And falling for him could complicate everything.

With the fate of an entire kingdom hanging in the balance, Hannah must decide whether to cling to the life she left behind or embrace the magical destiny waiting for her.

But what happens when the world you're desperate to escape starts feeling like the place you were always meant to belong?

Magical, witty, and deliciously romantic, The Empress delivers a spellbinding portal romantasy featuring a relatable heroine, a brooding warrior protector, tarot-inspired magic, hidden powers, royal secrets, and an irresistible romance that blurs the line between destiny and desire.

She wanted a tarot reading. Instead, she got a magical kingdom, a dangerous destiny, and one very tempting reason to stay.
