Why I Created Risqué Literature Online Bookstore
The idea for Risqué Literature comes from my love of reading and endless online searches trying to find my next read, browsing bookstores, searching library shelves, joining book clubs, and swapping recommendations with friends and family.
From Archie comics to classics like To Kill a Mockingbird and Go Ask Alice, books have always been my escape. As a child, I grew up watching my mother read Danielle Steel, so it felt fitting that the first romance novel I ever picked up was one of hers. When I opened that book, I never looked back. Reading became more than a pastime, it became my escape. Whether it was a physical book in my bag, my iPad on hand, or an audiobook queued up for busy days, I was always lost in a story.
With Dominican roots running deep, New York was my home until my teenage years. Then moving to Florida is where the sunshine matched my love for reading truly began. I'm a proud Latina, wife, mother of three, and yes, a numbers person by trade. I’ve built a career in accounting and tax preparation, finding satisfaction solving financial puzzles. Spreadsheets by day, steamy romance by night!
